Boston, MA — August 19, 2026 — CureLab Oncology today announced the appointment of Paul Woodard, M.D., Chief Medical Officer of Soley Therapeutics, to its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB). Dr. Woodard brings more than 20 years of experience spanning academic medicine and biotechnology, with deep expertise in oncology, hematology, immunotherapy, cell therapy, and clinical development.
The SAB’s search was led by Nathan Hipp, Ph.D., Principal, Executive Search at Stonegate Search Partners. Stonegate partnered with CureLab to identify a board candidate with clinical-development leadership, therapeutic-area depth, and strategic perspective to support the company’s next phase of growth.
“Dr. Woodard’s extensive experience leading development programs across hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, immuno-oncology, and advanced cellular therapies will be an invaluable asset to CureLab as we execute on our mission and advance our pipeline,” said Alex Shneider, CureLab Oncology CEO. “His strategic perspective, clinical rigor, and proven leadership across both academic and industry settings strengthen our SAB at an important time for the company.” CureLab's lead investigational compound is code-named Elenagen, an experimental DNA therapy that consists of a circular piece of DNA, a plasmid, that encodes a human protein called p62/SQSTM1.
Dr. Woodard currently serves as Chief Medical Officer of Soley Therapeutics, where he oversees clinical development, clinical operations, safety, biometrics, regulatory affairs, and translational research. Throughout his career, he has led global development strategy and cross-functional teams responsible for advancing novel therapeutics across a range of oncology and hematology indications.
“I am pleased to join CureLab’s Scientific Advisory Board and support the company’s efforts to develop meaningful new treatment options for patients,” said Dr. Woodard. “CureLab has taken a very innovative approach to a novel target. I believe this approach has transformational potential in oncology and in numerous other unmet medical needs. I look forward to working with the board and management team as the company advances its programs.”
Before joining Soley Therapeutics, Dr. Woodard served as Chief Medical Officer of Imugene Limited and Immune-Onc Therapeutics. At Immune-Onc, he oversaw clinical development, clinical operations, safety, biometrics, and regulatory affairs, including the successful submission of four novel investigational new drug applications within 18 months and advancement of four active Phase 1 clinical trials across two novel molecules.
